Lexi is a beautiful purebred mini Australian Shepherd who is approximately 5 years old. Sadly, Lexi is looking for a new home because her mommy is terminally ill.
Lexi is a very nervous dog who does not do well with strangers. As a result, she will do best in a quiet, low traffic home with no children and an adopter who understands that Lexi will require slow introductions or confinement when strangers are around.
However, once you earn her trust, she will be your best friend for life. She is a wonderful, well behaved girl and a very affectionate and loyal companion.
Lexi thrives in the company of other dogs and needs a home with at least one other canine companion to help her maintain her confidence.
Due to her high energy and exercise needs, an adoptive home with a fully fenced yard is a mandatory requirement. To be a suitable home for Lexi, adopter should have experience with herding breeds.
Lexi is currently with Eleventh Hour Rescue in Randolph, NJ. NorthStar Pet Rescue is assisting with finding this beautiful girl her perfect furever home. If you’d like to consider adopting Lexi, please complete an application on Eleventh Hour’s website. For more information and pictures of Lexi, please visit her page.
