Take a CHANCE, you will be glad you did! Chance came to NJ as a puppy and was quickly adopted into a loving family. Recently his “dad” passed away so his “mom” felt it was better to surrender Chance back to NorthStar so that he could find a home with people who could give him the attention he deserves.
Chance is good with people and runs right up to them for attention. Unfortunately, in October Chance suffered a seizure. Within a month, he had had 6 more seizures and a specialist diagnosed him with idiopathic epilepsy. Chance is on two (inexpensive) daily medications which help to control the seizures although we have been told that they will not eliminate them completely.
But in spite of all this, Chance is a wonderful boy according to his former owner and his current foster pawrents. Chance is a smart and loving dog. He sits and gives “paw”. He is gentle, loyal and loving. He would do best in a home with people who are home a lot and who are patient and understanding of his medical needs. Chance did live with another dog plus he was good with the two dog-savvy cats in his previous home. He is in a foster home now with other dogs plus his foster mom works at a doggy day care and she has been bringing him along some days. He thoroughly enjoys playing with the dogs there and does great in his play group.
If you feel that you have what Chance needs to make him feel loved and safe and would like to meet him, please fill out an application at www.northstarpets.org and ask for him by name, CHANCE TX!
